Minneapolis Labor Day Weekend Sept. 2010

Gordy's is next to a coffee shop
we stop at in Clouquet, MN.
We saw Gordy's on Diner's, Drive-In's & Dive's; had to try it out.
It was good...a popular place!!

This is the MN fair, have been told it is the 2nd largest in the U.S..
The fair broke records all weekend.
On Saturday they had over 250,000 people attend.
We are use to only 6,700 people. =)
Slow moving...but a fun experience.
Crowd shot
Kids Favorite Ride
The fair had a baby animal center..
I thought it was just a bunch of baby animals.
Actually babies are being born here everyday during the fair.
So, while we were in this packed building we started to hear people kind of gasping...
we found out a baby cow had just been born (the one in the picture).
It was amazing to see all the pregnant mommies & new babies.
Bonus, we got to pet animals that were just days old.

ALOT of bacon on this piggy!!
Well now that we have seen a gigantic pig...
lets move on to cookies!! =)
No elephant ears here..
it's all about chocolate chip cookies & ice cold milk.
They had Lines to prove it!!
The bucket Tony is holding is HEAPING with warm cookies.
In Background, Fried Pickles.
We had to try this out...and they were really good.
Would definately eat them again!

For what ever reason...pictures would not stay rotated in the correct position...sorry :)

  1. Great pictures!! Looks like you had fun! I can't believe they don't have elephant ears ... but, wow, that's a lot of cookies! Your comment about the boar cracked me up. Can't believe you were there when a calf was being born!
